A Bit of Background
SergioStrong is a non-profit corporation. We're motivated to make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer and those seeking higher education opportunities. We invite everyone to learn more about how one can save someone's life by becoming a bone marrow donor through the organization Be The Match. With our organization's mission always in mind, we send yearly care baskets to individuals receiving cancer treatment. By offering scholarships to local high school graduates, SergioStrong hopes to encourage students seeking higher education. In spring, we host our annual soccer tournament fundraiser, The Pino Cup. People can become empowered by their capabilities and have the confidence to reach their full potential if they have access to the proper resources. By bringing the community together to support our fundraising events, we hope to keep Sergio's passion for soccer alive.

"Leukemia is a cancer of the early blood-forming cells and it usually begins in the bone marrow. This blood cancer is divided into several groups based on whether the leukemia is fast growing (acute leukemias) or slow growing (chronic leukemias), and whether it starts in the myeloid cells (myeloid or myelogenous) or lymphoid cells (lymphoblastic or lymphocytic)."
